Volunteers are the lifeline of our organization, and they are essential for the success of our program. The hard work and support of our volunteers help make it possible to provide an opportunity for boys and girls to play hockey.
WPH2 depends on volunteers to be positive role models for participants and to create a fun filled safe environment for children to learn and grow through the sport of hockey.
If you would like to become a WPH2 Volunteer, please fill out the Volunteer Waiver/Registration Forms and a representative of We Play Hockey Too will reach out to conduct a phone screen.  All volunteers who will come in contact with the children must complete USA Hockey Safe Sport training and background check.
Completing USA Hockey Safe Sport training and background check
  1. Register as a volunteer with USA Hockey
  2. Apply for background check
  3. Take Safe Sport training
(Should be done simultaneously with background check)
Possible opportunities to volunteer include:
COACHES: The program is always looking to add volunteer coaches to improve the program.
EVENT VOLUNTEERS: We hold multiple events throughout the year. Volunteers are needed to assist with pre/post and day of event activity and represent WPH2 at community events (outreach, tabling, presentations).
ADMINISTRATIVE VOLUNTEERS: Support organizational effectiveness. We are looking for help with tasks such as correspondence, event coordination, donor communication, fundraising and community outreach.
